Sustainable Development Strategy

We set long-term goals that support environmental, social, and economic balance, and we consistently pursue them.
The Sustainable Development Strategy was adopted in December 2023 and covers the period until 2028, based on a comprehensive approach that takes into account three areas related to environment, society, and governance (ESG).

In the SDS, the PHH Group commits to conducting its operations with respect for all 17 Sustainable Development Goals presented and described in detail in the UN regulation of 25 September 2015 – however, taking into account the specifics of the Ho-Re-Ca industry, 9 priority Sustainable Development Goals have been selected in order to intensify activities in their implementation.

Environmental Program Eco Challenge

The PHH Group’s Environmental Program Eco Challenge was announced on September 25 – the World Sustainable Development Goals Action Day – and is part of the sustainable development strategy.

The aim of the program is to promote pro-ecological and pro-environmental activities among the Group’s employees as well as hotel guests, and to raise awareness of the importance of environmental aspects in the hotel industry.

The program is built on three pillars: Eco Gestures, Eco Inspirations, and Eco Investments.
Within each of these pillars, actions and initiatives have been planned not only to educate employees and guests but also to emphasize the importance of environmental and ecological aspects in the immediate surroundings.

Cooperation with the State Forests

Forests in Poland cover more than 9.2 million hectares, accounting for nearly 30% of the country’s total area. They play a vital ecological role – from filtering the air to providing a habitat for thousands of plant and animal species.

The PHH Group, in cooperation with the State Forests, is actively engaged in initiatives aimed at protecting these valuable ecosystems and raising environmental awareness.

Our initiatives include:

  • environmental education for guests and employees,

  • the implementation of pro-environmental initiatives,

  • the production of informational spots displayed across PHH Group properties, promoting these activities.

Caring for forests, biodiversity and natural resources is an important commitment, and cooperation with experts from the State Forests undoubtedly delivers tangible results in protecting these unique areas.

The State Forests National Forest Holding is the largest organization in the European Union responsible for managing forests owned by the State Treasury. It operates in a responsible, professional and transparent manner, managing a shared natural asset – forests – while ensuring their sustainability, expansion and the protection of natural resources, as well as fulfilling forest functions in line with societal expectations and the needs of the economy.
