ECO Challenge

In 2023, on the World Sustainable Development Goals Action Day (September 25), we launched the Eco Challenge program, aimed at promoting pro-ecological actions among our employees and hotel guests. It is part of our strategy for the years 2023–2028.

Today, caring for the environment is a priority. That is why in the PHH Group, sustainable development is one of our most important activities. We feel responsible for the world around us and encourage our guests to do the same – because even the smallest gestures can help our planet.

Through Eco Challenge, we want to raise environmental awareness in the hospitality industry and educate through the renaturalization of our properties’ areas. Every day, we strive to prevent waste and minimize our environmental impact.

The program is based on three pillars:

Eco Gestures: we reward our guests with small surprises for eco-friendly behaviors. We encourage arriving by ecological means of transport or public transit, opting out of daily room cleaning, or reducing the replacement of bed linen and towels during their stay.

Eco Inspirations: we introduce initiatives such as creating flower meadows by sowing biologically active areas with wildflowers and herbs. This helps save water and energy while supporting biodiversity. We also build winter shelters for hedgehogs in the green areas around our hotels, helping to protect endangered species.

Eco Investments: we invest in tree planting and the installation of nesting boxes for protected bird species. We collect rainwater, which is then used to water green areas, minimizing the consumption of potable water.

The Eco Challenge program is the best example of our commitment to environmental protection and our pursuit of creating a better future for all of us.
